Turkish Baked Apple with Walnut-Yogurt Filling
A Turkish-inspired baked apple built to close out a meal on a high-protein note: tender oven-baked apple halves stuffed with a cinnamon-cocoa walnut-yogurt filling boosted with whey protein, then finished cold with a yogurt dollop and crushed walnuts.

Instructions
1
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
2
Halve the apples, core them, and scoop out some of the flesh to widen the cavity, keeping the scooped flesh and dicing it small.
3
In a bowl, mix the diced apple flesh with the 70g Greek yogurt, whey protein isolate, 14g chopped walnut, honey and cinnamon until it forms a thick, scoopable filling.
4
Stir the cocoa powder into the filling for colour and fibre, mixing until no dry streaks remain.
5
Pour the 20g water into the base of 2 individual baking dishes (180ml each) and set the apple halves cut-side up inside.
6
Spoon the filling generously into and over each apple half, mounding slightly.
7
Bake for 25-28 minutes until the apples are tender when pierced and the filling is set and lightly golden on top.
8
Remove and cool for 5 minutes in the dish.
9
Top each with a tablespoon of chilled Greek yogurt and a scatter of crushed walnut just before serving.
