Strawberries with Balsamic Glaze
Ripe strawberries are halved and drizzled with a syrupy reduction, sharpened with a crack of black pepper and finished with fresh mint — a classic Italian trattoria dessert that turns three ingredients into something genuinely elegant.

Instructions
1
Hull and halve the strawberries and divide between 2 bowls (180ml each).
2
In a small saucepan, combine the sugar with 60g (about 4 tbsp) of balsamic-style vinegar reduction base and bring to a gentle simmer.
3
Simmer uncovered for 6-8 minutes, swirling the pan occasionally, until the liquid reduces by roughly half and coats the back of a spoon.
4
Remove from heat and let the glaze cool for 5 minutes — it will thicken further as it cools.
5
Drizzle the cooled glaze over the strawberries just before serving.
6
Finish with a crack of black pepper and scatter the sliced mint over the top.
7
Serve immediately at room temperature or lightly chilled.
