Fresh Fig with Honey and Walnuts

Fresh Fig with Honey and Walnuts

A simple Middle Eastern plate of ripe fresh figs halved and served with a drizzle of cardamom-scented honey, a dollop of strained yogurt, and a scatter of toasted-tasting raw walnuts, brightened with a touch of lemon juice. No cooking involved, just good fruit dressed simply so its own sweetness and texture carry the dish.
